Why is it so hot?

The AC in our room likes to turn off early in the morning while we sleep, so I keep waking up drenched in sweat. Yesterday we hit up the local market to buy bread, cheese and sausage all for under 5 euro and it lasted us two meals. After the market adventure we walked to the national archaeololigcal museum where we saw all sorts of artifacts from ancient greece including the death mask of Agememnon. From the museum we walked to a hill southwest of the Acropolis and went to the top where there was an amazing view of all of Athens. Consequently there was a little road you could drive up to get to the top making it a little annoying to see all the people in high heels walking around up there. There was also a small cafe. From there we walked back to the Hostel and made reservations for our hostels in Rome and Venice. It's not at easy to find hostels in either of those places for less then 20 euros which caused me to have a minor panic attack about the amount of money I have. I think I'm over it though. Once the booking was done we decided to head out to see if we could find a place to hang out. Maggies guide book lied to us and sent us down a street full of prostitutes which was nothing new considering there are prostitutes outside of our hostel at the corner. We seem to live on the crappy street in Athens because any street around us is way more pleasant. Although Athens seems a little dirty over all...

Right now we are currently waiting on Maggie to get ready so we can leave to catch a ferry to Aigina for the day. Another not so cheap investment but told it's totally worth it.
